Featured Artist: Judith Roth



Judith was born in Boston Massachusetts and graduated from Boston Museum School with BFA from Tufts University. She attended Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture on scholarship. She has won numerous awards and purchase prizes, including Illinois Arts Council Project Completion Grant; resulting in one person show at the Illinois Arts Council. Judith has received honors for arts advocacy and community service in the arts, from such groups as the Chicago Women’s Caucus for Art, and the Ravenswood Community Council.

Judith Roth was the founder of Ravenswood ArtWalk (RAW) an annual tour of Arts & Industry along the Ravenswood Industrial Corridor, Chicago IL. For many years she can be found teaching figure drawing and painting throughout the Chicago area and northern Illinois.
Judith’s work has been on exhibit at numerous galleries throughout the world including Butler Institute of American Art, Maier Museum of Art, National Academy of Design, Trenton State College, Wright State University, National Museum of Women in the Arts, Spertus Museum, Woman Made Gallery, ARC Gallery, Chicago State University, SOMArts Cultural Center of San Francisco, Duderstadt Center Gallery, University of Michigan, and Illinois Institute of Technology.
Her works are on display in private and corporate collections including the Illinois State Museum, Kemper Group Art Collection, Abbott Laboratories, Chicago Hospital Council, Blue Cross/ Blue Shield of Illinois; College of Lake County Foundation, Schiff, Hardin & Waite and Marcoa Direct Advertising.
